Maggie Grace, born Margaret Grace Denig on September 21 the 21st of September 1983 in Worthington Ohio is an American actor. She is famous for her roles as Shannon Rutherford and Kim Mills respectively in ABC's Lost TV show. Maggie Grace was born in Worthington located in Ohio dropped out high school, and relocating in Los Angeles after her divorced parents divorced. In the midst of financial hardship, she got her first part as Rachel's Room's main character the web-based video series Rachel's Room in the year 2001. Her portrayal in the role of Martha Moxley, a 15-year-old victim of murder in the T.V. movie Murder In Greenwich in 2002 earned her an award nomination for the Young Artist Award. In 2004 Grace was chosen to play Shannon Rutherford in the television series Lost on which she acted as a principal cast member for the first two seasons winning a Screen Actors Guild Award shared with the ensemble cast. Grace quit the show in the year 2005, to take on an even more prominent role in film, appearing in the film Taken alongside Tom Welling as Kim Mills in Taken. She has appeared in Suburban Girl The Jane Austen Book Club as well in 2007 as well as in Taken alongside Liam Neeson in 2008 as Kim Mills. The same character was played by Grace as Kim Mills in Taken 2 and Taken 3 (both in 2012). Grace reprised the role as Shannon in two episodes of Lost as well as the show's finale. Grace appeared on Californication's 6th season which ran from 2013 to 2014. She is Faith, a groupie who is a muse for the stars and catches the attention from Hank Moody (David Duchovny). She is part of the Gyllenhaal family and is the sister to Jake Gyllenhaal. When she was in her teens She appeared in small roles in films made by her father. She also was co-starring with her sister in Donnie Darko which is a cult classic. Her next roles were in Adaptation Confessions of a Dangerous Mind which was released in 2002 as well as Mona Lisa Smile (2003). Gyllenhaal was praised by critics for both her performances as the lead of Secretary (2002) which is which is an erotic romantic drama as well as Sherrybaby (2006). The actress was also nominated for her fellow actors for the Golden Globe Award. Following several commercially-successful films, like World Trade Center in 2006 her name was recognized more widely for her role as Rachel Dawes (the superhero) in The Dark Knight (2007).
